Concept artist and New York City resident, Johnson Ting has created what I believe to be some of the best conceptual artwork for video games in 2015. Johnson is a graduate of The One Academy in Malaysia and has worked for esteemed companies such as Passion Republic, Project Triforce, Activision, Infinity Ward, Black Tusk and Square Enix. As seen in his personal project entitled Neo Japan 2202, his work draws inspiration from not only anime nostalgia, but also Western science fiction dystopian tropes. Heavily Armored police. Cyberpunk car chases. Giant angelic structures that loom in the distance; there are just so many things going on visually that you can spend a great deal of time examining any one of his digital paintings.

Johnson primarily focuses his talents within the medium of concept art, environmental design, and illustration. I’ve taken the liberty to furnish some of my favourite works by Johnson below. Take a gander and enjoy the eye candy.
